All research is done in collaboration with Small-Medium Enterprises (SME’s). Typically applied research is conducted in higher Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs), starting from 5 up to 9.

3D Concrete Printing Lab

Research is being conducted into the recipe, control/monitoring, design of the print form, reinforcement, and undercutting. At the same time, the possibilities of new applications are investigated as the 3D printing technology gives the designers a new kind of freedom. It is now easy to adjust structures to your wishes and function and to implement structural and functional optimization. This requires a different way of thinking and working, and we are now exploring a different, dynamic way of modeling (including Generative Design).
